Catena Creations announces a new partnership with The Gage Team to expand its services in the Omaha, NE area. With this partnership, Catena Creations is now able to offer design and building of database-driven websites.

Catena Creations is based in Bellevue, NE and serves the Omaha-Lincoln metro area. Its services include website design, graphic design, writing and photography, as well as proposal and grant writing. The Gage Team, located in Sioux Falls, SD, offers website development, database integration, search engine optimization, online marketing and web hosting. The firm also is an active participant in Google Partner community.

Email change may cause errors

I am switching my email over to Gmail today, Oct. 16. A bombardment of spam in my inbox made this necessary.

If you email me and your email bounces back, don’t worry. It will take some time for servers to update everywhere. My email addresses are still the same.

Open house: Meet the alpacas

A family enjoys the Alpacas of the Heartland open house.

I got to meet a new animal Sept. 27 when I went to the annual open house of Alpacas of the Heartland. This 13-acre ranch near Ft. Calhoun is owned by Mike and Sherri Jacoby. Mike is in my Sarpy Chamber TIPS group with me.

In case you don’t know, alpacas are similar to llamas. But they are too small to be pack animals, so they are bred for their fiber and meat. Their wool is very fine and makes really soft sweaters. I know, because I got two of the sweaters at the boutique, along with a pair of lined wool mittens.

Super Heroes respond to call for Make-A-Wish

Catena Creations once again was asked to be the event photographer at the Super Cruiser Ride 2014. This event is a fund-raiser for Make-A-Wish Nebraska. Last year’s event raised enough money to fund two wishes for children.

For the second year of this event, the start time was moved back from 3 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. This gave everyone more time to complete the ride and hit the stops along the way. Omaha Police were there to block the exit from Midtown Crossing so riders could take off safely.
