We’ve redesigned the Catena Creations website to update both the content and the structure of the site, and to add several new features.
The redesign started in August 2013, when I updated the logo in honor of my fifth anniversary. I then tried to update the site with the WordPress theme I’d bought through Themeforest.
Unfortunately, the theme didn’t work. I couldn’t even copy and paste text into it. Even worse, after three weeks of e-mails, the theme developers refused to correct the problem. Fortunately, Themeforest gave me a refund the day I requested it.
The new theme I selected was the Evermore theme from Pexeto. This theme included several image sliders that can be used on every page. It also had a masonry layout style that I wanted to use to build a separate photo gallery. I also used the masonry capability for my updated portfolio.
This theme was very easy to work with and customize. And the Pexeto team was quick to respond to my requests for help.
All of the site’s content has been updated to reflect changes in our services and our philosophy for doing business.
It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun to go through my files and find new project examples for my portfolio. Thanks to all the clients who made it possible.
