Catena Creations redesigns its website

We’ve redesigned the Catena Creations website to update both the content and the structure of the site, and to add several new features.

The redesign started in August 2013, when I updated the logo in honor of my fifth anniversary. I then tried to update the site with the WordPress theme I’d bought through Themeforest.

Catena Creations launches AmeriSpec redesign

AmeriSpec Omaha and Lincoln website after makeoverCatena Creations has redesigned and updated the AmeriSpec Omaha and Lincoln website. We’ve given it a new look and a new plan for search engine optimization (SEO).

We first redesigned the company’s website in December 2010, then transferred the site to WordPress in 2011. Much has changed since then in the realm of website design, mobile sites and SEO. This update  added the latest technology to the site to incorporate those changes.

Super Cruiser Ride benefits Make-A-Wish Nebraska

If you saw a a few caped superheroes and masked marvels in midtown Omaha Saturday, you weren’t seeing things. Those were the 250+ participants in the first annual Super Cruiser Ride.

The Oct. 19 benefit was organized to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Nebraska. My brother-in-law, Mike Schwartz, is owner of Wohlner’s at Midtown Crossing, and was one of the sponsors for the ride. At his request, I volunteered to take pictures at the ride.

Bellevue Applebee’s displays 3 Catena Creations photos

Applebee’s restaurant in Bellevue has chosen three sports photos by Catena Creations to be displayed as part of the restaurant’s remodeling this spring.

Marion Griffin, an interior designer at Artworkstudio in Mission, KS, supervised the remodeling. She found my sports photos on my SmugMug photo gallery, and contacted me in February 2013 to obtain permission to use them. I gave her permission, and sent some suggegstions for additional photos to consider.

Event photography: Making memories for a friend

When I tell people I’m a photographer, they are often surprised to find out I don’t do formal studio work such as portraits or weddings. Because of my background as a newspaper reporter, I prefer photojournalism such as shooting sports or special events.

A recent celebration for a friend reminded me once again why I enjoy event photography so much.
